For condensing units with compressors, there is a capacity control.
Capacity control is a device that can improve the efficiency of the single stage compressor.
It is based on the suction shut-off and control the gas can not flow to the individual cylinder. In 100% load operation, the compressor open all cylinder and the solenoid is off. In part load operation, the compressor open partial cylinder and the solenoid is on.
All 4, 6 and 8 cylinder Bitzer single stage compressors are available with the capacity control.
And below as the possible residual capacity of these compressor:
4 cylinder compressor: 50%, 100%
6 cylinder compressor: 33%, 66%, 100%
8 cylinder compressor: 50%, 75%, 100%
